Step 2: Complete IELTS Speaking Assessment (Level 8.5+)
How to Complete Your Speaking Assessment
After logging in to SmallTalk2Me, look for the IELTS Speaking Level Test option
Complete the speaking test - you will be asked to:
- Speak into your microphone.
- Respond to prompts & answer questions verbally with:
- Clear and proper intonation with a North American accent.
- A friendly and cheerful tone of voice (Watch examples of different tones of voice demonstrated by a pronunciation coach: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPQyHXc1ksA).
Important InstructionPlease ensure that during the 2-minute speaking task in the middle of the IELTS Speaking Level Test, instead of describing the assigned topic (such as a childhood toy), use this time to thoroughly respond to the following three questions:
- Your short-term and long-term personal and professional goals.
- Why you believe you are a strong candidate for this position.
- Any other information that will help us understand your motivations and aspirations to apply for this position.
- Prepare ahead of time how to use the 2 minutes to answer the self-introduction and these three questions
- During the 2-minute speaking period, provide a comprehensive self-introduction and thoroughly address all three questions
- Ignore the templated IELTS mock Speaking Test task card assigned by SmallTalk2Me
