Step 2: Required Assessments
English Speaking Assessment & Professional Introduction
How to Complete Your Speaking Assessment
Visit SmallTalk2Me and create a new account.
After logging in, look for the Speaking Level Test option.
Complete the speaking test - you will be asked to:
- Speak into your microphone.
- Respond to prompts & answer questions verbally with:
- Clear and proper intonation with a North American accent.
- A friendly and cheerful tone of voice (Watch examples of different tones of voice demonstrated by a pronunciation coach: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPQyHXc1ksA).
⭐ IMPORTANT INSTRUCTION - REQUIRED: Detailed Self-Introduction ⭐This is not optional - all applicants must complete this step
When the SmallTalk2Me assessment asks “What’s your name?”, DO NOT simply answer with your name.
Instead, use this opportunity to provide a complete introduction that includes:
- Your short-term and long-term personal and professional goals.
- Why you believe you are a strong candidate for this position.
- Any other information that will help us understand your motivations and aspirations.
Applications without this detailed introduction will not be considered complete.
Our team values honesty and transparency and encourages all applicants to share their experiences fully. Please do not gloss over any information, especially the negative aspects, as we may conduct additional reference checks on your past employment history.
You will receive a CEFR score (from A1 to C2) for your speaking ability.
Share your speaking assessment result link with us.
Common Application Mistake - Don’t Skip Your Detailed Introduction!
Many applicants incorrectly assume they can bypass the English assessment by simply claiming English proficiency. However, this assessment serves a dual purpose:
- To evaluate your English speaking skills
- To learn about your professional background and goals
This is not optional - all applicants must complete this step. Even applicants with excellent English must complete the full voice recording with a detailed self-introduction when prompted with “What’s your name?” This is a required part of your application regardless of your language proficiency level.
Assessment Requirements
- A minimum score of C2 in Pronunciation or Fluency is required
- A clear North American accent and proper intonation are critical factors
- Children aged 0-18 are our primary patient population, so we prioritize an approachable tone
REMEMBER to share the URL link to your complete assessment report that includes:
- All speaking matrices and detailed scores
- Full performance breakdown across all metrics
- Complete evaluation data
DO NOT SHARE the certificate or final score - we need the URL link to review your detailed speaking performance across all evaluation matrices.

You can copy the link from the browser address bar when you’re on the assessment report page. Your shared link should look like this:
